What Is UX and UI Design?

UX and UI: these two terms are often used interchangeably, but they mean very different things. UX design is short for "user experience design", while UI stands for "user interface design".

At the most fundamental level, the user interface (UI) is the series of screens, pages, and visual elements—things like buttons and icons—that allow a person to interact with a website, product or service.

Google's "Mobilegeddon," or Just Being Friendly?

As promised, last week Google rolled out an update to their search engine which gives priority to websites that are mobile-friendly. I’ve read a number of blog posts about this and none mentioned that this applies only to mobile search results. In other words, if you’re doing your Google search on a desktop, you’re likely to see a different order of search results than if you were doing it on your mobile phone.
